The Role

We are seeking a Payments Gateway Business Development Lead to drive merchant acquisition, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market expansion with a focus on Indonesia and neighboring Southeast Asian markets. This role is highly commercial and market-facing, with a mandate to scale our merchant and partner network, capture new revenue opportunities, and accelerate adoption in one of the fastest-growing payments regions globally.

As the business growth engine, you will design strategies, close partnerships, and lead expansion efforts while ensuring seamless alignment with product, compliance, and operational teams.

What You’ll Do

Drive end-to-end merchant acquisition and ecosystem growth across Indonesia and the wider SEA region by identifying, acquiring, and scaling high-value merchants and partners, leading their full lifecycle from onboarding to long-term relationship management, and strengthening liquidity, trust, and engagement to accelerate transaction volumes and overall adoption.
Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, wallet providers, telcos, and fintech players by negotiating and structuring high-value commercial agreements, while unlocking co-branding, distribution, and ecosystem collaborations that deepen our presence and accelerate growth across SEA markets.
Own and localize go-to-market strategies for Indonesia and neighboring SEA markets by launching targeted campaigns, referral programs, and merchant incentives, positioning our offerings competitively, and driving community-driven adoption to win share in rapidly evolving payment landscapes.
Develop robust business cases, pricing models, and incentive structures that support profitable market entry and scale; track and optimize KPIs such as merchant adoption, transaction volume, retention, and revenue contribution; and ensure all growth levers deliver measurable ROI and sustainable expansion.
Collaborate with product, compliance, AML, and legal teams to enable seamless merchant onboarding, transaction flows, and settlement processes; ensure full alignment with local regulatory standards; and deliver risk-managed, fraud-resistant solutions without compromising user or merchant experience.
